Welcome, you are viewing a fantastic all original Paul McCobb Cabinet. This is perhaps the biggest piece of Paul McCobb that I have had the pleasure of owning! All original finish and in fantastic shape. The brass legs have some minor wear, but that is it. The cabinet starts out with a sideboard for the bottom, 2 cabinets on either side, 4 drawers in the middle and 3 slide out cabinets just above the drawers and cabinets. Great for serving with as they are covered in a textured black laminate. All 3 slides are also in excellent condition. They also have the teardrop style pulls that the rest of the cabinet has. Above that rests a secong top unit that houses the desk on the right with its original lock and key. Above the desk is a wonderful pair of bookshelves. The bookshelves also have an ornamental wood backing that gives the piece a more open appearance, yet still classy. To the left is another 2 door cabinet that can house whatever you want out of sight. Ample room inside but still doesn't overpower the unit. Above that and going all the way across the top is a multi sliding door cabinet setup. It has a left side compartment with 2 doors and the middle and right side cabinet have 4 doors that can slide all the way across each other. The wholes unit is perhaps the most multifunctional unit I have seen, right along side Poul Cadovious's wall mounted setup and George Nelson's Omni System. The whole unit meauses 84" long, 81" tall and 18" deep. The bottom credenza 84" long, 18" deep, the middle drawers are 27" wide, 5 1/2" tall. The 2 outside cabinets are 27" wide, and 12 1/2" deep. The legs are 5" tall. The 2 bookshelves are each 24 1/2" wide and 10" tall and 14" deep. The cabinet at the top left is 27" wide and 21" tall. The sliding doors are each 12" tall. It will be a long time till you find another cabinet of this size and quality. The pictures are of the cabinet with nothing done to it. It will be oiled and taken care of before you receive it, the couple of minor spots on the inside of the right desk area cleaned right off with watco danish oil and the whole unit is perfect.
