LINEAGE APPEARS ON THE INSIDE COVER OF THIS PUBLICATION AS FOLLOWS:
âeoeDear Knife Enthusiast
Thank you for your interest in my knifes.
Since 1974, I have been involved with the design, engineering and making of outdoor cutlery. All of the folding knives described in this list use my rotating axial locking mechanism, U.S. Patent 3942249.
In the latter part of 1976 I designed and made, In my own tool and finishing rooms, a family of folders in three sizes. These were presented at the 1977 National Sporting Goods Show in Chicago by my Licensee, Gerber Legendary Blades. For my own collection and reference, I made duplicates of many of these models. I am now offering these for sale.
The blades are machine-engraved on the tang. The left side is engraved with the model, and âeoepaul.âe On the right side is âeoeGerber, Portland, Oregon. âeThe engraving was done by Mr. Dewey Chew of the Richard M. Weber Company, In San Francisco, California.
The Family of stiff knives (identified as K, M, N, O, P AND Q) matured from a previous design effort on my part which involved the design and building of three different models of stiff knives (two of these models are also offered for sale at this time). I made two sets of six each. One set was submitted to Gerber Legendary Blades for their consideration. The other set is pictured in this list. âeoePaulâe, and the model description, are engraved on the left side of the blade, and âeoeGerberâe is on the right. Once again the engraving was done by Mr. Chew.
I am selling my collection because it was designed to be used and appreciated. Right now this goal is not being realized because the knives are kept out of reach in safety deposit boxes w they cannot be enjoyed.:
In the future, I plan to offer a complete line of high technology, superlatively crafted, hand-made folding knives for the outdoor man and woman.
