This listing is for a GORGEOUS master salt by the fabulous English silversmith PAUL STORR measuring 2 3/8" high with a 3 1/4" top diameter and weighing 7.5 ounces. This fabulous silver master salt has an unusual upper edge with a scalloped border and three elaborately decorated scroll shaped feet. It is further decorated with an engraved lion holding an arrow on the front. This wonderful example of Paul Storr silver is clearly signed with the correct English hallmarks for the period. The lion passant, crowned leopard's head, date letter for 1819 and the king's head duty mark as well as the "P S" punch stamp. The salt is in excellent condition! T is a tiny rough spot in one of the channel cut sections on the upper edge and three very faintly etched series of numbers (one under each foot and the third in between two of the feet). This master salt is nothing short of fabulous! Paul Storr silver is always hard to find and a great investment so don't let this beauty get away.
