This is an original old framed and under glass watercolours and ink painting which is a celebration/ dedication/congratulations for the military bravery of Paul Wynne Tighe during the First World War; the depth of the frame is 1cms and the painting measures 20cms x 27.5cms; the dedication has pictures of the various flags, motto, crest and the military medal, etc - it reads - " The Congratulations of many friends ( including the writer of this) are offered to Mrs & Mr. Wynne Tighe 3/4 High St. Exeter On the bravery of their son Sergt Paul Wynne Tighe R.A.M.C for which he was named in Despatches on Janry 1st 1916, and in September 1917 was also awarded the Military Medal for offering himself, when Volunteers were called for, to bring wounded from the Front Trenches during the great Continental War. By the possession of a pleasant manner and smiling face, invariably in use, P.W.T had won the love & esteem of many friends before the war."
