This gorgeous Christening Set would be so perfect for your Precious Reborn Doll. It is hard to tell how lovely this set is in the pictures. The gown has lace and embroidery covering the entire gown...the bodice is fully lined and the pouf sleeves have elastic banding. The is lace ribbon around the bodice with long lace ties. Button Closure in the back. The Silk Slip also has a 2 button closure in the back...The Ivory color matches the Gown perfectly. The Bonnet is fully lined and has ribbon rosettes on both sides with a long ribbon for tieing the bow. The silk booties also have ribbon and lace. So So Pretty! This Set is shown on a Lee Middleton Baby. The gown measures 28" long.....the slip is the same length. The shoulder to shoulder seam measures just a little shy of 6 1/2". The skirt is very full as is the slip.The Bonnet Measures 4 1/2" from front of brim to the back...measures 4" across the back section. As you can see, there is are two spots on the Gown. I was going to clean the Gown using OxiClean, but thought the new owner might want to clean it. I know how that is - you just feel more secure doing it yourself. I do believe these two spots will come clean....but if they don't, the skirt is so full that it can be folded over the area and not seen. I originally started it with my Mom and she loved it so much...she really liked seeing what she thought was her "old junk" going for so much more than she thought it was worth. Honestly......If she had a garage sale, she would put a nickle or a dime on everything and be just so happy to make 20 bucks for all her hard work. I purchase usually from estate sales....I love the old things that have been in the family for years ...I love the history...I don't know, there is something about an estate sale that is so much better than finding it at an antique mall. I love finding that rare treasure ....or just that interesting piece of art...or anything that is unique. I also love love love purses and shoes and fashion - so I do hunt down the quality items of clothing and accessories. As a collector myself, my home gets a bit full - so every now and then I decide to start on my own things.
