Up for auction is something from the personal collection. I had questioned whether or not to sell but here it goes. It is a wonderful 5 piece water set ruby stained. It has a pitcher and 4 tumblers. It is a souvenir piece from Thorne, North Dakota. I will be listing several pieces from this collection. It appears to be Mckee Brothers Ionic pattern as seen in the Pittsburgh Glass Catalog operating as Mckee Brothers 1902. What really makes the set interesting and the other pieces that will be listed is the fact that Thorne is a US Ghost town, vacated in 1910. What happened is as a result of a settlement in 1904 with the Chippewa Indians granting them Rolette County, ND and the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation, Thorne apparently had to vacate and became a ghost town listed in US ghost towns. The pieces I will be listing I doubt will be seen or are very unique. Rolette County was a fur trading location. Now back to the Water Set description. The set is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The Pitcher measures 7 1/4" high at the highest and 7 1/4" spout to handle. The base is 3 3/4". The tumblers are 3 1/2" tall and measure 3" in diameter across the top. The ruby stain is still in excellent condition. There is some minor scratching on the ruby stain from use and cleaning, however, all in all it is in excellent condition
