Rare PCGS VF25 1787 FUGIO Copper Cent "K.9-P" variety A rare (R5) variety with strong VF+/XF detail. This 1787 FUGIO Copper Colonial Cent is a K.9-P variety (also known as a N.9-P). This coin has mostly smooth surfaces that are reflective on a medium to dark brown planchet. T are no problems of any kind at this grade level and is Choice for the Grade . This coin was slabbed long ago in an early PCGS Green Holder and may be slightly undergraded by today's PCGS standards. The last digit in the date is weak, but everything else (the legends, sundial, sun, reverse rings, etc.) are in bold detail indicative of a VF35, or better coin. An authentic & genuine 1787 FUGIO Colonial Copper with excellent upside potential and great eye-appeal. Wonderful opportunity to pick-up a higher grade, rare variety, FUGIO for your Collection! Please note: the short scratches on the plastic slab, the tiny white dust particles also seen on the plastic, and any glare from the light during the photo process - Most, if not all of these, are on the old plastic PCGS slab and not on the coin itself.
