This is a hand colored etching from Sowa & Reiser featuring the image of Peanuts canine star, Snoopy flying on his red doghouse. In this piece he is dressed as the arch-enemy he often battled as World War I Flying Ace, Manfred von Richthofen, the Red Baron. This etching was created by hand-pressing an piece of damp Arches printmaking paper into a copper plate which has the outline of the design etched into it. The piece is pulled from the plate and allowed to dry after which, the image is hand-painted in watercolors. This piece is numbered and signed along the lower margin and is part of a numbered and limited edition of 500. They are printed by Sowa & Reiser. The framed image is 14"h x 14"l.
