This auction is for an unsigned Peggy Karr fused glass tray. This tray measures about 9 ½ " at its longest and almost 10" at its widest. The design is adorable! T are two fat cats sitting in the middle of the plate. One is black and white. The other is a white tabby with orange stripes. They are surrounded by green grass, blue sky and two red and yellow sunflowers. The border is in black and white leaving about 1/3" of clear glass at the edges. This design has been retired and is now extremely hard to find! The bowl comes in a Peggy Karr box. The box is not new. It has some creases and soil marks on the top. On the box it says "Peggy Karr America 's Premier Fused Glass Design Studio". Each piece of Peggy Karr glass is handcrafted and fired with enamels to produce a richly colored, smooth textured, thick piece of art glass. This technique dates back to Ancient Mesopotamia . Due to the firing process each piece has some variations to its color, texture and formation of bubbles. This is normal . All Peggy Karr pieces are non-toxic and dishwasher-safe. They can be used in the microwave but not the oven.
