This is an ORIGINAL 8"X10" B&W photograph by Don Wood of the Pennsylvania Railroads' old 4-8-2 Class M1b Locomotive #6717 and her huge tender taking on coal (note coal on ground from a prior "over-fill") at the Denholm, PA Coal Warf - date of photograph unknown. This photo was taken by Don Wood , renowned railroad photographer, and is a file copy print from his personal files which were recently auctioned by his estate. Don began his work in the late 1940's, and his work has been published in ' I REMEMBER PENNSY ', ' THE UNIQUE NEW YORK & LONG BRANCH ', RAILROADER , TRAINS and other publications. Don was most famous for his photographs of the Pennsylvania Railroad. MOST of these photos from his personal file are single copy only, with his inventory number, publication page number, cropping guides, SOME with his written comments, etc. The borders have been cropped on this scan to provide a larger image - the print is in excellent/mint condition.
