For sale here is a fine used specimen of what is known as the "Penny Black Stamp," that is presented in this display folder along with a 1979 souvenir sheet of 4 Sir Rowland Hill stamps which was here presented as a first day cancellation at London's IPEX, their International Stamp Exhibition, in 1980, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Hill's birth as the Father of the world's first postage stamp. Along with each of these is a Certificate of Authenticity that documents that the Penny Black is authentic and that the FDC was canceled in London on it's first day of issue.
