This is a Pentax set of binoculars. I don't know much about these but I see the Pentax sell for quite a bit while the others seem to be a dime a dozen? These were originally purchased for a boat captain that only bought the good stuff. He would sail and power from Maine to Florida with these. I think they may be 15 years old but not used in the last 10. I have had them in my closet in Maine. T are 4 locations to adjust the view. I don't know how to rate them other than I tested them out back and I could easily see the wart on a frog from from 1000 feet. No, honestly, They appear crisp and clear whether I look at 100 feet away or 1000. Just a nice pair. Email me if you want me to do any type of test on them. I'll get back to you quickly. As you can see in the pictures, t is a little bit of black paint wear. Everything turns and moves almost like the day it was made. I have been asked if t is a crack. No t is no damage, no dust inside, and no black spot seen in viewing. In one picture, the swing arm almost looks like a crack, but it is in fact the slope edge of adjustable the swing arm.
