Pepsi Cola 100 Year History Bottle Display (Only 3000 Made) Up for auction is a rare Pepsi-Cola brand bottle display. Only 3000 were made, given to Pepsi Company Salesmen for accomplished sales. The display is made of wood and shaped like an old fashioned Pop case measuring 36in L x 12in H x 4.25in D with a plexiglass sheet that slides over the front to keep the bottles in place and to keep dust out. T are 8 bottles that represent change or events in the Pepsi Cola company, ranging back to 1905. The case is sectioned off to hold Pepsi Bottles with the dates of 1905,1937,1940,1945,1959,1971,1991 and 1998, showing the evolution of the Pepsi Bottle, starting with the brown bottle with paper labels, moving to the clear bottles with all the different Pepsi Logos. Each bottle is in very good condition. No chips or cracks. Each label is still attached with no tears. T are a few light scuffs on the plexiglass and some slight marks on the top of the wood display. Brackets are attached to the back of the display which allow for hanging. Written across the top of the plexiglass are the words "A Toast to a Century of Soft-Drink Success" In each section of the display, under the bottles, is a collection of info describing the bottle and the importance of the date in the Pepsi company history. 1905..."Seven years after its invention as a fountain drink, Pepsi-Cola became the first major soft drink to bottle its own beverage. Originally, it was sold in an amber 6 1/2-ounce bottle with paper labeling and distinctive Pepsi-Cola script embossed on the back." 1937..."In the '30s, Pepsi purchased used, clear, brown and green 12-ounce glass beer bottles from breweries as a cost-savings measure.
