[See pictures] Auction is for ONE of a set of two matching Chippendale period chairs, approximately 1790's manufacture. Maker unknown, all hand made and carved, missing two original screws in the corner support block. All wonderfully hand carved, hand manufactured. Expected wear and tear on the knees of the carved cabriole front legs and nicks and scrapes as indicated in the pictures. This chair is marked " IV " on the chair frame and also on the matching slip seat frame as well. Not original upholstery. Probably of Southern manufacture. Chair sits 42 1/2 inches from floor to top of crest rail. Intricately carved and hard to manufacture pierced back splat. Opening bid price well under what I purchased for. Selling due to building new house! I can send more pictures if requested. Please ask questions well in advance of auction close so I can get answers back to you. Do not want to sell, but need to. Buyer pays actual freight cost for oversize item to zip code from 47274. I accept PayPal, money orders, or personal checks which must clear before shipment is made. Thanks for looking and check out my other auctions for the matching side chair if you have time. Have a great day!!!!!
