Perkins Marine Globe Lantern, Large Anchor, Very Rare! This is a Perkins Marine, brass globe lantern, also called a signal or anchor lantern. This is a very rare style of lantern. The lantern is in excellent condition. You will look long and hard to find a better one. Any collector would welcome it to their collection. The globe is embossed with "Perkins 10". Nice old wavy glass. The brass could be polished, but I choose to leave the original patina alone, it looks great. The lantern measures about 20" tall to the top of the ring and about 12" wide at its widest point. This lantern was designed for use on larger boats or ships. The fount is the twist in style and the burner has 2 large wicks. This one also has an interior chimney. This particular chimney didn't come with this lantern, but it is a vintage replacement.
