An excellent book with a wealth of information "Revenue Stamps of Iran" second edition by: Sasan Baharaeen and Gordon Brooks This 550 page catalog, written in English and printed in color, covers revenue stamps of Iran from the Qajar period to the modern day Islamic Republic. It identifies stamps by intended use and design . The catalog contains sections on Iran's geography starting with the Qajar period, different types of calendars used in Iran over the years , a history of the units of currency in Iran, kings of Iran who utilized revenue stamps and their main accomplishments, and an administrative history of Iran. There are guides for identifying stamps, city/province names, and intended use overprints. The second edition has over 600 more stamp images than the first edition and over 100 images of revenue documents . It has a more detailed list of overprints and has a new “general design type” section for easier stamp identification. There is also an intended use index. The catalog includes a scarcity factor for all stamps
