is an authentic PERSIAN CAVALRY SWORD. This sword closely resembles the Russian M1881 and is probably early 20th. century. T are Farsi numbers or letters on the pommel, ricasso, and the scabbard, top and bottom. Wood grip in very nice, Brass guard is ok, with nice patina. Blade shows heavy (course) machining marks. Blade is 31.25" long by 1.25" wide at widest point. over all in the scabbard it is 38.5" long. Scabbard is very good with NO dents. It has a nice blued look with only small amount of light rust.
