PERSIAN COIN SILVER CALLIGRAPHY MEDALLION BOWL; HAND CRAFTED; WEIGHS 32 OUNCES; EXCELLENT This is a fine late 19th century Persian silver calligraphy medallion centre bowl. Classic tapering circular form. The shoulder with hand carved scrolling wave, set in diamond border. Interior centre with series of Persian characters in conforming diamond and wave. The interior upper wall with matching work. The surface display thousands of subtle variations illustrating the hand crafted origin of the bowl. Persian silver calligraphy bowl is 9 3/4 inches across weighs 32 standard ounces. Unsigned. We guarantee solid silver. This is not silver plate. Excellent condition. Rich, lustreous silver patina throughout. The brilliantly carved calligraphy medallion and rolling wave border retain their original crisp, sharp detail.
