A solid (not hollow) orange-ware terracotta standing male figure, Peru, Chancay culture, Cuchimilco style, ca AD. Has had a coating of lacquer applied to prevent deterioration. A low relief figure that shows facial featues, necklace and hands held to the front. More prominent are the headdress, nose and genitals. Height: 7.50 in. (19.1cm), Width: 3.25 in. ( 8.3cm), Depth: 2.5 in. (6.4cm). Mounted and labeled on a polished wood plinth, the overall height is 8.5 in (21.6cm). I will furnish a color photocopy of a similar dated figure, laminated in clear plastic, for complete permanent dating documentation. Also comes with my lifetime Certificate of Authenticity. Displays well, inexpensive due to condition, sale is final, no returns on this piece except for authenticity issues.
