This tin tray is painted and signed by Peter Ompir. It depicts a sailor and his parrot. It measures 12 inches in diameter and 2 inches deep. No touch-up painting has been done to the piece and t isn't any rust. The paint on the inside of the tray is in very good condition. The paint on the sides and back of the piece have scratches as seen in the photos. Peter Ompir's signature is unaffected and readable. If you aren't familiar with his work, he is held in esteem by antique dealers and fellow artists alike as the father of American decorative painting. Ompir's fine arts training and natural talent allowed him to produce pieces that contain exceptionally bright, vibrant colors even after the many coats of antiquing that he applied to create and protect his trademark style. I accept PayPal, check or money order. You may email me with any questions. Good Luck and thanks for looking! |
