Welcome to another auction from Steil Bay Studio. "Akilah" (which is Arabic for "Intelligent") originally started out as a Peter Stone traditional size Arabian Stallion. All stallion parts were removed and he has been resculpted into an anatomically correct mare. She also has a resclupted muzzle and had her left rear hoof repositioned. Her up hoof is carved out along with her ears, and seams have been smoothed & logo removed. I chose to paint her into this highly detailed bay Pintabian, many hours went into making her white markings which were done by hand using mulitple layers of thinned white paint to achieve a nice smooth finish. She is finished in a matte Testors Dull Coat sealer, her eyes and hooves are finshed with a high gloss, and her muzzle & upper eyelids are finished in a satin for that "ready for a show" look. I haired her with high quality mohair.
