PETERSON DUBLIN 2000 LIMITED EDITION PIPE COLLECTION This auction includes two limited edition Peterson pipes with decorative wooden display stand. Both pipes are very limited in that only 1000 of each were ever made. Both pipes in this set are unsmoked. This is one, must have set, for the Peterson collector or any pipe collector for that matter. VERY LIMITED. You will not see many of these around due to the limited number made. The first pipe features a marked sterling silver rim and band between the shank and the stem. The rim and band both have the silversmith markings. The rim also states 925. The band states Peterson's Dublin in script style lettering. The shank is engraved or stamped "Peterson's Dublin" on one side and "LIMITED EDITION 1000/30" on the other side. We assume this is number 30 of 1000. The stem has a silver "P" on the side. The pipe has a smooth finish. It also has a diamond shaped shank and tapered stem. T are some slight scuff marks on the stem. T is some wear and tarnish on the rim and band. Cleaning will be left to the buyer. Measurements: The entire pipe measures approximately 5 5/8 inches long. The stem is approximately 2 1/2 inches long. The bowl measures approximately 1 3/4 inches wide at the widest point and is 2 inches tall. The chamber opening measures 3/4 inches wide at the top and is 1 3/4 inches deep. The second pipe in this collector set features a marked sterling silver spigot and silver band. The band and shank are almost square in shape. The band is marked "Peterson's Dublin" and "Sterling Silver" with the silversmith markings. The spigot is also marked "Peterson's Dublin" and also contains the silversmith markings. The shank and band are almost square in shape. The shank is stamped or engraved with "PETERSON'S DUBLIN" on one side and "LIMITED EDITION 30/1000" on the other. The stem is round bent and tapered near the end. T are some slight scuff marks on the stem. T is some wear and tarnish on the rim and band. Cleaning will be left to the buyer. Measurements: The entire pipe measures approximately 6 inches long. The stem is approximately 2 1/2 inches long. The bowl measures approximately 1 5/8 inches wide at the widest point and is 2 inches tall. The chamber opening measures 7/8 inches wide at the top and is 1 3/4 inches deep. The wooden display stand is light colored natural wood. It has "PETERSON" Routered in cursive on the top front. It features three decorative pillars and space to hold both pipes. It has a gold colored plate on the front of the base that reads " YEAR 2000 LIMITED EDITION COLLECTION" The stand measures 8 inches tall 6 3/4 inches wide and 3 5/8 inches deep. It has four rounded feet on the bottom. Condition This set has been on display in a private collection for quite some time and obviously handled, but never smoked. T are some very small scuff marks on both mouth pieces that should easily buff right out. T is also some wear and obvious tarnish on the silver. We have not made any attempt to clean, restore, refinish or alter these pipes in any way. We feel it's best to leave that decision up to you and/or the experts.
