This is a small size secretary bookcase that is quality built. It is signed W. A. Hathaway , New York . That was a high end design shop/retailer on 51 st in New York City in the 1920's. This piece has a bookcase top with a latticework crown, that sits on a straight front cabinet with a drop down lid and a fitted interior. The bottom section sits on tapered Hepplewhite feet.
