Petite Antique Vintage Beautiful Ornate French Italianate Bronze Birdcage Chandelier! Dripping with lots of faceted European crystal prisms!!! This petite chandelier has 3 candelabra sized bulbs with white sleeves or covers. It is difficult to see the details that this fixture has, as my pictures are not the best. This could use a good cleaning as I have left that up to the buyer. This birdcage styled chandelier would be perfect to glorify a posh powder room or small lavoratory- very elegant and stately. The details are amazing- leaves, scrolls, flourishes, flowers and even an acorn finial! This has a wonderful patina and is a very substantial and well-made fixture... not flimsy at all. The crystal prisms that came with this are vintage as well and will shine and sparkle like mad when cleaned! The longer pointed prisms are about 1 1/2" in length. The entire fixture hangs by an ornate ring mount and has a 26" decorative chain. A detailed bronze ceiling cap is included and it measures about 5" in diameter. The cage itself is about 15-16" tall and 12+" wide. T are six strands of linked crystal octagons, each with at least six. T are also 6 pointed teardrops along the top, 6 in the middle and 6 along the bottom. Looking back, it might be better to remove one octagon from each strand and attach them to the tops of the bottom crystals. That's up to you- any way you arrange these, its absolutely stunning. I have many antique chandeliers, as a designer, and this one is unique. I like the shape and size of it and the sparkle and shimmer of the crystals really makes it quite stunning. Sold "as is" so ask questions and bid accordingly.
