This is a PFM brass Great Northern Z-6 4-6-6-4 locomotive. This one is a Crown model from the 1975 run, built in Japan for PFM by Tenshodo . It is number 290 out of a total of 450.Condition is like new in the original box with all of the foam in excellent condition. No signs of use or handling. Nothing broken or missing that I can see. It is factory painted as road number 4000, and the paint is excellent. I applied power to the engine and all wheels turned smoothly. Literally, the only blemish that I could find is a trivial rub mark on the trailing truck where a little brass is showing.You would have a hard time finding a nicer example of this articulated used by the Great Northern, the Northern Pacific, and the SP&S.
