This wonderful 19th century story THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA is based on the novel by Gaston Leroux, and has been the source of, I believe no less, than seven movies, dating back to the silent ones. It's a story that will be told for hundreds of years. This is his remarkable home. That sneaky Phantom was doing his skullduggery exactly at the time this EXQUISITLY, LAVISH rendering portrays. ELEGANCE surrounds this faithfully reproduced engraving of the PARIS OPERA HOUSE. However, he was not the artist who so carefully placed the color into the original engraving. The color is exact to the last detail. T are just endless details on which to focus. What collector can resist having THEE Paris Opera House matted and framed along side the rest of the collection. Image is 9 X 13 inches with " The Grand Opera House" in script underneath. Then "Paris" in block letters under that.
This 130 year old engraving has been reproduced using very heavy weight, acid free, 100% cotton fiber paper and the latest high tech equipment and more than that truly caring artists.
