My father has been working with Dean (the last factory service manager at Phase Linear’s Lynnwood Washington plant) for approximately 20 years. They shared a web site until AOL shut down all AOL websites on October 31, 2008. An archived copy of their web site is available at: /web/20071208055327rn_1//PhaseTek/ Dean has registered a new web site which hopefully will be forthcoming sometime in 2010. This unit was just serviced and tested by my dad in the last 2 weeks. If you have any questions, you can reach my dad (Ed) via e-mail at This sale is for (1) Phase Linear 1400 Series II Graphic Equalizer. The 1400 was in production for 1 year only in 1981. Thus very few were ever built and are considered to be RARE!. The specifications and text noted below are taken from Phase Linear 1400 Series Two sales literature & owner’s manual and may not reflect the actual performance and options of the item for sale and is provided for informational purposes only. I will not be held responsible for its accuracy and/or content. The Model 1400 10-band equalizer offers state-of-the-art performance in every detail. The many features of the Model 1400 provide performance excellence not available in any conventional equalizer. While other equalizers run interference between bands, the Model 1400 is accurate to an octave: no interaction up to 6dB of boost. Less than 2dB at full boost. It allows a ±14dB boost or cut. It has separate input level controls. EQ mode switch. Noiseless hard-wired bypass. Separate overload indicators. And built-in output relay which eliminates switching transients. The specs speak for themselves. But the best way to experience the most equal of equalizers is to try it. Use the 1400 to correct some of the troublesome anomalies of your listening environment.
