This wonderfully carved wall plaque of two flying pheasants if fresh out of a Northern Michigan Estate. The back of the plaque is marked "Thos Hansen, Valley City ND". As you will note in the background information listed below, Mr Hansen was well known for his bird carvings and these have become quiet collectable and hard to find. I have several of these from the same estate that I will be listing so be sure to check out my other auctions. I am guesstimating these to be from the 1950's or 60's. Great overall condition as can be seen in the pics with nice coloring. Plaque measures: 10"x6.75" with the male being 8.75" long with a 5.75" wing span. The hen measures 6.25" long x 5.25" wing span. The birds are affixed to the board using a metal strip and allow the birds to flutter if bumped. Background information: Hansen, Thomas born.
