Description enlarged photos taken with fluorescent daylight lighting ***Rare Phenacite Crystal Cluster From Brazil*** ***135 Carats*** One of my favorite vendors sells in the wholesale section of the East Coast show and also in Tucson. He is a geologist from Belo Horizonte and always has superb mineral specimens from Brazil. At the East Coast 2008 show my jaw dropped when this supplier showed me a flat of good-sized Phenacite clusters. Just a year and a half ago I spent a good amount of time at the Tucson 2007 shows tracking down a Phenacite cluster for a customer. It was the only cluster of that size that I had ever seen and I thought I would never come across a Phenacite like that again. Now I was looking at several of them and t were slightly smaller ones too. I brought home a good assortment of larger Brazilian Phenacites. Please be aware that large Brazilian Phenacites are still much smaller than their Russian cousins. Phenacite is Berylium Silicate or Be2SiO4 . It is known as a one of the most potent metaphysical crystals and is a third eye activator. This Phenacite crystal cluster is clear as you can see in the enlarged photos. The Phenakite comes from Sao Miguel de Piracicaba, Minas Gerais, Brazil. It measures 1 3/8" by 1 1/8" by 1" and weighs 27 grams or 135 carats.
