Description Phi Mu Alpha / Sinfonia 12 Full Pearls, 6 Garnets Up for auction is this fine, vintage Phi Mu Alpha (sometimes refered to as Sinfonia ) fraternity pin. PMA was founded in 1898 at the New England Music Conservatory. This badge features a triangle with the point at the top. It displays an Old English script of the letter S in the center with the Greek letters at the points. The badge has been professionally converted to a pushpin. This makes it very easy to put on. This badge is engraved "XX-3778" This is a very high quality older ported version which allows light to shine brilliantly on the jewels. It was made by the famed jeweler Balfour. It is much superior to the modern versions they sell now. The badge stands 13.9mm (17/32") tall. I guarantee this badge to be 10K gold as stamped. The pin and clasp are in excellent, original, and wearable condition. Thank you for looking and enjoy bidding!
