PARKER, WEST STRAND _________________________________ M.DCCC.XLVII (1847) Two volumes, bound in full leather, with gilt illustration to front of each, and gilt detail to spines. Measuring approx 22cm x 14.5cm x 4cm. The leather is darkened and grubby/marked. Extremities are scuffed, chipped and bumped. The front board of volume II is splitting to top three-quarters of spine edge. Chipped to top of both spine, with a tiny chip to base of one. Marbled endpapers to front and rear. Very lightly foxed and grubby to first and last couple of leaves. There is pencil to reverse of each front free endpaper. There is an inscription to front blank of volume II and some pen and pencil notes to reverse of front blank. The last couple of leaves of volume I are cracked to inner edges. There is a corner crease to top of title page, following five leaves and faintly to a few more of volume I. There is the occasional tiny crease or edge chip, and some annotations and underlinning in places. There is the occasional mark, else both volumes are in good, clean and tight condition. Two read more
