This is a modern salesmans sample of miniature Phrenology Head advertising Trilafon, Perphenazine, a full range Tranquilizer drug made by Schering drug compnay, "outmoding the older concepts" of pharmacy manufacture. It is ceramic porcelain, decorated transfer Staffordshire style under glaze, with black lined blocked off brain partitions/areas of study with green graphics on a figural head and neck bust. It is decorated on all views/sides with a felted green base to prevent table scratching during display. Age exact unknown, but having been recently deaccessioned from a thirty year old pharmacy collection, I can honestly say item dates to the best guess circa 1980 time frame, well before Made in China, is a true American modern sales man tool aid for doctors, hospital, etc. type of advertising and sales tool. Item measures 5" tall on a 2" by 2" base and so perfect for small shelf collections and office or showcase displays and reports no condtion damage whatsoever, is mint and clean as issued and merely a collector item of interest.
