PHYLLIS JACOBS Old MODERNIST STUDIO SILVER JEWELRY RING 's an old likely 1950s or 1960s Mid-Century Modern era American studio hand made sterling silver ring that's three-quarter inch in diameter and I believe is a 6 1/2 ring size has measured with a ring gauge. It features a Modernist styled Ying Yang raised design and is die stamp impressed with PHYLLIS and STERLING in small case letters along with a Wishbone like symbol. This unique ring is in very good condition with some wear.
I was advised that this talented artist is mentioned in Warman's Jewelry third edition 2002 book by Christy Romero and the 2004 Schiffer book on Modernist Jewelry 1930-1960 The Wearable Art Movement by Marbeth Schon.
See some of my current auctions for other old and vintage interesting very collectible examples of Modernist Designer Silver Jewelry that are a true form of wearable art. These pieces come direct from an old private jewelry collection to be offered with a quite modest minimum bid and no reserve.TERMS OF SALE: This item is guaranteed to be genuine and as described.
