PABLO PICASSO 1881 - 1973 A LITHOGRAPH PUBLISHED IN 03 / 04 / 59 MOUNTED AND READY TO BE FRAMED. FROM THE "CLASSICAL TORUS BULLFIGHT SERIES " ( overall size; 380mm X 300mm ) IT IS HAND SIGNED IN INK TO THE BOTTOM LEFT OF THE PIECE, AND IS DATED 1967 ALTHOUGH AT FIRST SIGHT IT WOULD APPEAR THAT THE SIGNATURE IS IN THE PLATE. BUT ON CAREFUL EXAMINATION IT WAS FOUND THAT THE SIGNATURE IS WRITTEN IN INK. A REMARKABLE 50 + YRS PABLO PICASSO LITHOGRAPH IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AN GENUINE ORIGINAL LITHOGRAPH, THE PIECE IS PART OF A LARGE COLLECTIONOF ARTWORKS. THE COLLECTION HAS BEEN IN MY POSSESSION SINCE 1972. PRIOR TO THIS DATE I DO NOT KNOW HOW LONG THE COLLECTION WAS IN THE FAMILY ESTATE. This piece was left to me by my late father ( 1921 – 1972 ) along with a large collection of artworks from known and unknown artists. I inherited the collection in 1972. It is only recently that I discovered them again, as they have been in storage for quite a number of years. With the collection, he had left a letter to say that he had acquired the artwork over a period of years during his travels around Europe, and America , during the time when he was employed as a government official.
