This is a vintage pickle castor from the late 1800's with original tongs and a cranberry jar with hand painted flowers [one rose, one daisy and one other I can't identify]. The marking on the bottom is MADE AND PLATE GUARANTEED BY JAMES W. TUFTS, BOSTON, MASS. Also the number 3613 is on the bottom and inside the cover. The metal frame and cover are silver plated. The hanger on the frame for the tongs is a rhinoceros head with the horn. Measurements are 13-1/4" high X 4-1/2" across. Jar measures 4-1/2" high without cover X 3-1/2" across. Condition is excellent on all parts. Thank you.
