Picnic - Heart of Darkness I have been watching Xena from Season One on on dvd for quite awhile now, reconnecting with the characters but acquiring a different feeling from the first time I saw the show on TV. Welcome to the second week of Heart of Darkness. This was actually the second part to Haunting of Amphipolis. As a little reminder background, Xena, with Eve and Gabrielle return to Amphipolis to see her mother. The devil, Mephistopheles , has decided to hang out at Cyrene's bar as a fissure opens up in the Tavern. Cyrene suffered terribly having faced the fact she had killed her husband (which may take you back to The Furies). In the years Xena was in the deep freeze with Gabrielle, and Eve was wrecking hell as Livia, Cyrene had gone insane and was eventually burned at the stake. Xena, Eve and Gabrielle are dogged by hallucinations etc. as Eve is tested on her faith (and watched closely by Archangel Michael and his sidekick). In the end Xena offs Mephistopheles, and her gift for her win is that she must take his place as the god of Hell. So we are at Heart of Darkness, which gives some flashbacks from Haunting of Amphipolis to bring us up to speed with Xena's problem. This episode has a lot of color and sensuality and that is expressed in the forthcoming photographic art images. After all the forest images from Fins, Femmes & Gems, it's going to be nice to work on etal skies and dark ominous colors of the netherworld; not to mention the awesome colors and tones of sexuality and breaking those 7 sins. I hope you'll enjoy the following weeks. This is a photographic art image from the 2nd week of Heart of Darkness. I am putting this week up in my store for those who were not able to bid on them. This is #2, 3, 4 respectively. The First to buy will receive #2, the Second, #3, the Third #4. And we are...meat, wine, fruit...gluttony? This does make a rather nice Sunday in the Park with George though doesn't it? This is an incredible photoart image, because I was able to have a great time with the colors, which were brilliant! I love the reds and yellows enhanced by the wonderful variances of green. This one is one of my favorites, because it's so alive and cheerful, except for the look on Lucifer's face. I will # each print, and of course, I will sign. This is number 2, 3, 4 respectively. I will print no more than 20, and then this image will be retired.This is an 8" x 10" which will be printed on Kodak Ultima long last glossy paper, so you will be able to enjoy your original image for years to come.
