Monographs XXI and XXIII Institute of Archaeology, University of California, Los Angeles 1982 and 1983. Vol. 1-325 pages. Vol 2-355 pages. I have many fine tribal art books currently for sale. If you own a larger collection of African, South Pacific, Native American or Amazon Indian arts one or more of your pieces probably passed through my hands of ownership at one time or was sent to me for identification. Please understand that my sales on ebay are more of a hobby. Obnoxious, demanding buyers will not be tolerated and simply put on my do not sell to list. I have Fridays off and that is when I ship. Any items paid by Friday 10:00am from the previous week will go out that day. Since I often work at my real job often late into the night, I cannot normally go to the post office Mon-Thurs. Please don't ask this of me as it is usually impossible. Domestic shipping and handling -Shipping fees shown incorporate a handling fee. On multiple orders going out at the same time, I will usually cut shipping/handling fees in half if I can ship them together safely! Books are usually sent out USPS media mail, while objects, depending on size weight are sent through either priority or parcel post depending on how fragile and value. There is a huge cost to selling objects on ebay. For those of you who don't know, there is an insertion fee, photo fees, final sales auction fee and pay pal fees. Additionally, there are delivery confirmation fees, cost of padded envelop or box and expensive bubble wrap and peanut fees. Further, there is time spent wrapping, filling out label, going to the post office, standing in long lines at post office, etc. For these reasons, there is a handling fee on my sales like most other vendors on ebay. On books sent cheaply by media mail, usually the handling fee is double post fee, hence the fees listed. On objects sent, there is typically a handling fee of $1 to $20 fee depending on size and fragility of object. Those of you who have bought from auction houses know that the packing fees can be four to five times that amount. Go to a mail boxes, etc. packing company and see what they charge! This again is far more than I charge. Please check my shipping/handling charge listed with the items. If you don't want to pay the shipping/handling fees, please do not bid! I still feel my shipping/handling fees are fair all things considered. Truthfully, I could probably make more working at a fast food restaurant than I do selling these things on ebay. International shipping and handling -To all my loyal overseas customers, I have to apologize for these astronomical rates that I have to charge you even for a small book. Please understand that prior to about three years ago, it was very cheap to send overseas, especially through the USPS. However, since then, something has changed, our fees are now equal if not more than European ones! They told me this is because of fuel surcharges. It is usually cheapest to send by priority mail flat rate envelops/boxes overseas. If the book is thin, it might fit into small priority envelop. Cost out of my pocket $13.95. Large flat rate box 14" x 12 "x 3 1/2" is $58.50! For the bigger books, that is usually what I have to pay out of pocket. Many of you have paid me only $40 to ship a larger book to Europe and you are outraged! I would be too!
