1920s SOUVENIR MIRROR - MOVIE MEMORABILIA 1927 film " Mumsie " starring Pauline Frederick shown at The Picture House, Strand Street, Douglas. An unusual item. One side is an advertisement for the film (shown for one week in the Isle of Man) and the other side is a mirror (very handy for use kept in a ladie's handbag. Diameter is just over 6cm (over 2 inches). Overall condition is good though some of the lettering has worn (see scan). Mirror glass is in excellent condition. A scarce and unusual item of cinema memorabilia. BACKGROUND INFORMATION:- Mumsie is a 1927 British drama film directed by Herbert Wilcox and starring Pauline Frederick , Nelson Keys and Herbert Marshall . It was adapted from a play by Edward Knoblock about a favourite son of a family who proves to be a coward when war breaks out. Mumsie is a lost film.
