Pilgrim Glass Co. Ceredo, W.Va. a bit over 5 1/2" tall 2 7/8" from the tip of the spout to the rim 2 3/4" across top sides Pilgrim rare rootbeer crackle glass pitcher, #513. The rootbeer is great, rich & vivid with a sheen to it, looking just like rootbeer. Produced before the 1960's dated by the same color handle. Classic pitcher style with the drop over handle. Lots of Pilgrim's amazing fine, mini crackle for lots of sparkle. The bottom has the not often seen strawberry pontil mark for positive Pilgrim identification. The glassblower would make a mark that resembled strawberry skin in the pontil while the glass was still hot using a file. Only Pilgrim did this and only on some pieces. It is a bit larger than most window pitchers. This auction is for the rootbeer piece only, the last picture shows it with a 3 3/4" Pilgrim for scale. Thick & heavy, quality glass. I see a few tiniest bubbles in the body, done when it was blown, I like to describe all I see. I do not see any damage at all. It is clean & clear. Vintage Pilgrim never to be produced again with the special strawberry mark. Please e-mail any questions.
