Want to go fast and L@@K good?

How we take Pinewood Derby to the Fast Lane

Every car built starts off as an official BSA pinewood derby kit. My cars are fast to get them that way takes time!

1) We use official BSA Wood Blocks

2) We use official BSA Axels

3) We use official BSA Wheels

4) To avoid rules conflicts we build our cars using the stock wheel base

But now the FUN starts.

Do you feel the need for speed?

Round and Round we go.

Starting point with any Pinewood Derby car are the wheels! The wheels Are MOLD MATCHED. The stock Axels are stamped, thus having "stamp flashing". The flashing acts as a brake it has to go! The metal has dimples and ridges plus may not even be straight! Oh my we can't have that now can we? So I machine the axels then sand then polish them to a low friction surface. More time because if its not right the car is not fast. You want me to take my time now don't you? Once they are done they become Ricks Super Speed Axels(tm) $30.00 a set of 4 axels.

So you want to be fast better bulk up.

Sorry captain we can't change the laws of physics, but we can help it along a little. Most organizers set a maximum of 5oz for pinewood derby cars. Out of the box they may be 2oz to 3oz cut to shape. You can either bolt on weight or build in weight. We choose to build it in using only TUNGSTEN not lead. Why Tungsten and not lead? Tungsten is denser then lead, more weight for the size and it is non toxic. Sure it is much more expensive, but the results are a car w the weight is built into the design. This means that your Rickety racer will not hang up on the track or spoil the looks of the car.

The design who wants to race an ugly car?
I am an artist who enjoys smooth lines and glass like finishes. Every block is shaped not just an ugly wedge but a work of art I am proud of.

If you want more info about this car or others i have, or my website , email me at:

It weighs 4.98 oz. on my scale.

NOTE: All of my cars I build are timed on my 35 foot track, guarantee the buyer a fast car on race day!

Very fast shipping!! I ALWAYS SHIP THE NEXT DAY! ONCE I Received PAYMENT!
