Victorian Custard art glass Vase. About 8 inches at the tallest with a hand painted floral pattern and gold gilt. Circa 1895. William Heacock self named this pattern Ribbon Overlay in his 1000 toothpick holders price guide. See Pic. I have been working on this set for years but have to give it up due to moving across country to a smaller house. I sold a pitcher set with 4 tumblers on ebay last week that went for 170 I believe. I am also listing a small bowl, a large pitcher, a large bowl, a smaller pitcher, 2 tumblers and a cruet in the same pattern in different seperate auctions. This auction is for the Vase only. This piece has no chips cracks or repairs. Has loss to the gold gilt but the enameled part is mostly intact. I have never been able to find another of these, a very tough find. Check out the other pieces!! Could be any number of makers such as Mt. Washington, Thomas Webb or Boston Sandwich glass. All pieces have uranium and glow nicely under a black light. Like vaseline glass or custard glass not milk glass.
