Fantastic Victorian Custard art glass pitcher. About 6 inches at the tallest with a hand painted floral pattern and gold gilt. Circa 1895. William Heacock self named this pattern Ribbon Overlay in his 1000 toothpick holders price guide. See Pic. I have been working on this set for years but have to give it up due to moving across country to a smaller house. I sold a pitcher set with 4 tumblers on ebay last week that went for 170 I believe. I am also listing a large bowl, a large pitcher, a cruet, a small bowl, 2 tumblers and a vase in the same pattern in different seperate auctions. This auction is for the smaller milk pitcher only. No chips cracks or repairs. Has loss to the gold gilt but the enameled part is mostly intact. T is an extra piece of glass at the top of the handle w it connects to the body of the pitcher that could easily be ground down by the new owner. Not damage.Check out the other pieces!! Like a custard glass peach blow, pink cased glass all rolled into one great piece! Has uranium in the glass and glows under black lite. Also the hand painting floral pattern with the gold gilt is breathtaking!! Possibly mt washington, Thomas Webb, New England glass or others!!
