Up for auction today is a beautiful set of 3 Pink Milk/Crown tuscan glass mixing/nesting bowls. They are very well made glassware with no rough seams,sharp edges or cloudiness. All 3 pieces are in perfect shape with no cracks,scratches,flea bites or chips. The largest one measures 8-3/4" in diameter x 4" High. The next size measures 7-1/4" in diameter x 3-1/2" high. The smallest one measures 5-3/4" in diameter x 3-1/4" high. These were handmade in Cambridge,OHIO. This is truly a beautiful set of glass and would make a wonderful addition to any collection or just to use! Just a little history from: National Cambridge Collectors, Inc. Crown Tuscan was a pink "milk glass" type formula, introduced by Cambridge in 1932. The color was such a good seller that it was continued in production until the factory closed in 1958. Crown Tuscan is a pink opaque color that tends to vary in shade, from an almost white to nearly light brown. Often the edges are nearly transparent, giving the piece an opalescent look. Each piece of Crown Tuscan has an individuality of its own. Pieces were sold undecorated, but many pieces in Crown Tuscan were decorated at the Cambridge factory, and many were wholesaled to Abels, Wasserberg Co., of New York, where they were decorated with hand painted flowers and scenes, and sold by Abels, Wasserberg under their brand read more
