Up for auction today is a beautiful Pink milk glass cake stand/plate. It is a very well made piece of glass with no rough seams,sharp edges or cloudiness. This color is also called "Crown Tuscan". It is in perfect shape with no cracks,scratches,flea bites or chips. It measures almost 7-1/4" high X 9-1/2" in diameter at top. The base is 5-3/8"round. It is a pretty substantial piece! It looks more pink than it shows up in the picture.(I think the flash on the camera makes it look more white than it actually is) It was hand made in Cambridge,OHIO. This is truly a beautiful piece of glass and would make a wonderful addition to any pink milk glass glass collection or cake plate collection! Just a little history from: National Cambridge Collectors, Inc. Crown Tuscan was a pink "milk glass" type formula, introduced by Cambridge in 1932. The color was such a good seller that it was continued in production until the factory closed in 1958. Crown Tuscan is a pink opaque color that tends to vary in shade, from an almost white to nearly light brown. Often the edges are nearly transparent, giving the piece an opalescent look. Each piece of Crown Tuscan has an individuality of its own.
