Offered foryour consideration is an antique glass biscuit jar. Made from clear over pink cased glass, this has a satin finish. The blank is of diamond quilted pattern with small round buttons at each intersection. T appears to be an acid etched mark if sorts on the bottom, however, we are unable to read or identify it. It is shown in an enlarged photo. The heavy metal cover appears to be of old silver plate. The exterior is dark, but the inside of the lid has a tin like appearance. The metal has left some dark colored marks on the glass in the area of the collar, and t are few areas that have some pinpoint sized silver dots on the molded surface. This is no readily noticed, but visible under magnification. Another dark stain was noted on one of the bulges near the bottom of the container. This stands 6.5" tall with the lid in place, and is approximately 6" in diameter across the widest point. T are no cracks or chips.
