WELCOME TO THE CLAN MACKATT These delightful figures were hand made in Scotland by ex-Beswick modeller TED CHAWNER, who was responsible for many of the Beatrix Potter figures, TOM KITTEN WITH BUTTERFLY, being just one of them. Ted left Beswick 25 years ago to set up his own studio pottery, Lomond Ceramics, and this set of beautiful figurines was amongst the first things he produced. All with a scottish theme, and all hand painted, they comprise of the following 12 figures:- Mr. MacKatt, Mrs. MacKatt, Katrina, Wee Willie and Nanny MacKatt, Caber MacKatt, Fisher MacKatt, Golfer MacKatt, Piper MacKatt, Bass MacKatt, Side Drummer MacKatt and Shodd the Blacksmith. As well as the cat figures Ted produced a badger wearing a kilt and holding a curling stone. This was supposed to be the start of a series of animals all doing different sports. I have listed each figure separately in case someone wishes to complete a set, but if anyone is interested in buying several or all of the figures please email me. THIS AUCTION IS FOR *PIPER MACKATT* A GINGER TABBY CAT PLAYING THE BAGPIPES AND WEARING TRADITIONAL SCOTTISH GARB OF TARTAN KILT. HE HAS THE NUMBER 51988 WRITTEN ON THE BASE AND MEASURES 10.5cm HIGH. CONDITION IS EXCELLENT WITH NO DAMAGE AT ALL. Please check out my other items !
