This lighter has been stored in the original box for the last 60 years. Now you can own this piece of history in like new condition. After WWII, the U.S. oversaw the retooling of Japan's military industrial conversion to civilian purposes. All products produced in this period of several years, had to be marked "Made In Occupied Japan". Among the consumer goods fabricated, were a number of figural lighters also Cameras, cars, pianos, boats etc... This lighter is in very good condition (see Photos) and is in its original box (the box shows some age, staining) As you can see in the photos it works fine. It is marked "made in occupied Japan above the grip and also on the base. There are many pistol lighters available on ebay but none are in better shape, This is a beautiful 60+yr old lighter and would make a great addition to any collection. Just a tip... Never store a collectable lighter with flint in it. The flint will deteriorate over time and damage the lighter. There will be no flint or fluid in the lighter when shipped.
