Very nice old Pit River Basket, from the area just south of Shasta, CA. 5 1/4 high x 8" across, with a 5" opening. This was an estate sale find - has a tag which I would guess was a museum or inventory tag. The piece appears to have been repaired, as on close inspection (from the inside primarily) you can tell it has been glued. Either way, however, whoever fixed it, did a wonderful job. It is very hard to detect from the outside, or for that matter, the inside either, unless you hold it to the light. It is strong and sturdy, visibly appealing, with no other apparent issues, and would make a great addition to any collection.

Please email with questions and check out my other auctions for another fine Pit River Bottle Basket, Native dolls, Indian baskets and rugs, and other great collectibles. All items are described to the best of my ability, and sold as such. All sales final and no returns. A $2 handling fee has been added to the shipping price. Happy bidding.
