You are bidding on JAPANESE SOMA WARE SOMAYAKI POTTERY TEA SET PLUS CREAMER SUGAR LUCKY HORSE For your consideration we have a beautiful Japanese Somayaki or soma ware pottery tea set. This set has never been used. This set includes a set of six cups and saucers, cream and sugar and a tall tea pot which I would imagine could be used to keep coffee warm and attractive as well. All the pieces are a sage green color with a Crackle Design throughout the pieces. The cups have handles. They have approximately a 1 1/4" border over the design of a loose chocolate brown and black glaze. On each cup t are six heart cut out designs. Four hearts are bordered with a line of gold glaze. Inside each cup, in the center is a gold outline of a horse which represents good luck for the Japanese. The cream and sugar bowls are the same design and colors as the cups. The sugar bowl has a 2" border of brown & black and has a lid with five heart cutouts which are all bordered in gold. The color of the lid matches the sugar bowl's border. The lid also has a knob for easy handling. The creamer has a spout for pouring and has a golden horse design on one side. The teapot measures 7 1/4" tall without its lid. The teapot's lid also has five cutout hearts with gold trim and a round knob for handling. The teapot has approximately a 2 1/2" border of a brownish
