Circa 1860, two piece walnut, slant front plantation desk. The top has ogee crown beaded molding which flips up to reveal pigeon hole interior with door on each side and dovetailed drawers underneath with open center. One door section has pigeon hole interior and the other has letter slots, slant top base with three dovetailed drawers, two smaller side drawers and larger center drawer, with glass knobs and beaded molding, supported on four octagonal legs with turned top and bottom, 64 3/4''H X 55''W X 33 1/4''D, old refinish, missing some bead molding at top and around drawers. From an Alna, Maine home.
